I began this project by hosting a participatory design session. Several designers and I discussed blue sky ideas on how to help our users navigate our site easier.  
It was important to keep the big picture in mind at all times. Getting too embedded in any solution at the conceptual level would have severely limited our ability to create a great design.  
I wireframed a solution containing modern design practices that would potentially solve for the problems we discovered through our surveys. After several rounds of usability testing and A/B testing, we developed this solution.
